El Mejor Emerald Torpedo Cigar Review cigarobsession.com

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

cigar reviews review www.cigarobsession.com El Mejor Emerald Torpedo This 6.5×54 stick offered a loose bound foot with no wrapper on the last inch or so, and came in a cedar sleeve. It gave some interesting flavors directly after the light, with a very loose draw that came up to a normal resistance once the burn point hit the full wrapper section. Flavor was medium bodied offering a mild complexity of smooth and rich wood, hints of sweetness and pepper at points. Burn was good, needing a couple minor touch-ups and the draw was on the loose side overall. The finish changed from the first half to the last, getting shorter and cleaner as it went. They were all exceptionally well blended together and smooth, including coffee, cream, earth, pepper, sweet tobacco, touches of spice and hints of cocoa at points. cigar reviews review www.cigarobsession.com Rocky Patel Connecticut Torpedo This 6.5×50 torpedo stick had a very soft supple wrapper showing the underlying leaves. Burn and draw were both excellent, with perfect performance all the way down. Flavors started out mild and grassy, progressing to a smooth creamy nutty flavor. Body was mild-medium with a very clean short finish offering a hint of spice on the tounge. Just over 1 hour to the band point, great for a morning smoke! Gran Habano 3 Siglos Torpedo Cigar Review

Monday, March 8th, 2010

Cigar Reviews review www.cigarobsession.com Gran Habano 3 Siglios Torpedo This 6.1×56 dark chocolate stick offered a medium body experience with somewhat muted flavors. The wrapper and binder both had very pronounced veins giving one minor burn problem that required an early touch up. The remainder of the burn was not perfect but was self-correcting. Draw was on the loose side and worked well. Flavors of the first third were just a heavy tobacco with pepper on the finish. The 2nd third showed a bit more development with hints of coffee wood and leather but they very quickly dissipated to a mild pepper finish, leaving a heavy aftertaste. The last third got very warm and a little mushy, prompting me to end it just before the band point at 1 The one negative thing was the aroma of the smoke off the foot it was pretty stinky at points and left my fingertips smelling of wet ashtray by the time I finished. Thanks to Shuckins for trading with me for this stick! Photography by BG Pictures.

REO CIGARS

Rated 88. A dark, smooth wrapper covers this cigar. It burns well, giving off rich smoke and a toasty aroma. Chewy flavors and chocolate and coffee notes lead to an earthy finish. – Cigar Insider, July 2006

I tried this cigar as a smoke while playing golf and as an after dinner smoke. Was very surpised at the quality, taste and construction of this cigar. Very good full bodied smooth smoke that burns evenly thoughout the smoke. I have now ordered a box. This cigar can compete with several of my more expensive cigars! – Rob C.

What a great cigar. The construction is great. It is very consistant.Good even burn and a great draw. Starts off with a creay tobacco flovors, and ends witha strong leather flavor. Bought a box. One of the best boxes I ever bought. I give this cigar a 90. – Mike

I have a new favorite. I absolutely love this cigar. Better all around than some of the more expensive cigars I’ve smoked. Even burn throughout, deep chocolate flavor, I can’t wait for my next box. – Gregg B.

THIS SMOOTH, CLEAN WELL BALANCED AND COMPLEX CIGAR DELIVERS A MEDIUM BODIED SMOKE WITH HINTS OF COFFEE AND SPICE. AS IT BURNS EVENLY WITH A WHITISH ASH, YOU REALIZE A VERY CREAMY FINISH. I COMPARE IT TO A ANNIVERSARY PADRON. IN A SCALE FROM 1 TO 10, I RATE IT AN 8. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. – RON

Rated 87. A dark and oily robusto with a firm draw. Cedary flavors are slightly bitter and charry. Scattered notes of black cherry and sweet spice precede the oily finish. – Cigar Insider, July 2006

TOP NOTCH CIGAR. SMOKED ONE WHILE UP THE MOUNTAINS, SITTING IN MY RECLINER LOOKING OUT AT THE RAIN. THIS IS THE BEST OF THE BEST. SMOOTH AND LOADED WITH FLAVOR. DEFINATELY A FINGER BURNER. EVEN BURN AND LONG GRAY ASH. – MIKE

Rated 87. This box-pressed mini torpedo is predominantly chocolaty in character, with some coffee and woody notes as well. Performance inconsistency was noted. – Cigar Insider, July 2006

The REO was one of the most exciting releases in 2005 and today continues to be a top seller nationwide. Blended by EO brands and made by Rocky Patel, the REO is medium to full-bodied with a dry and spicy aroma and hints of toast with a moderate finish. Each cigar is box-pressed and comes packed in boxes of 20.

What makes this cigar so unique is the five-year-old, Sumatra seed wrapper grown in Costa Rica. This wrapper completes a blend this is composed of hand selected Nicaraguan and Honduran long fillers. There is nothing ordinary or one dimensional about this cigar. Its complex mix of competing flavors makes it virtually unmatched by cigars from this region.
